Cpux

cpux shows you what is actually inside your phone. It reads your hardware and operating system directly from the Android platform and the Linux kernel, then lays it out in a clean, live-updating dashboard. No sign-in, no ads, no data collection.

WHAT YOU CAN SEE

• Processor — chipset name, core layout, per-core live clock speeds, big.LITTLE cluster breakdown, cache hierarchy, governor, and supported instruction sets
• Graphics — GPU renderer and vendor, OpenGL ES and Vulkan versions, driver limits, and the full extension list
• Memory — RAM in use, cached and free, plus swap/zRAM and a full storage breakdown
• Battery — charge level, temperature, voltage, live current draw, health, design capacity and charge cycles
• Display — resolution, aspect ratio, physical size, density, refresh rate modes, HDR and colour gamut support
• Sensors — every sensor your device reports, with vendor, range, resolution and power draw
• Cameras — sensor resolution, optics, aperture, focal length, ISO range and Camera2 hardware level
• System — Android version, build fingerprint, kernel, security patch level, SELinux state and root status
• Network — active connection type, interface addresses, operator and SIM state
• Codecs — every media codec, filterable by encoder, decoder and hardware acceleration

BUILT TO BE HONEST

Android restricts which kernel interfaces an app is allowed to read, and manufacturers restrict them further. Most system info apps quietly show a zero when they cannot read something. cpux does not.

• Where a value cannot be read, you see a dash — never a made-up number
• Where a figure is inferred rather than measured, cpux says so on screen. Processor load, for example, is estimated from core clocks on devices that block access to /proc/stat, and is labelled as an estimate everywhere it appears
• Chipset names are resolved from the identifiers your device exposes, with the raw identifiers always shown alongside so you can check the answer yourself

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION

cpux collects nothing, transmits nothing, and stores nothing about you.

This is not just a promise. The published app is built without the Android internet permission, so it is technically incapable of sending data anywhere. You can verify that yourself in Settings, under App info, Permissions.

The only permission cpux requests is network state, which reports whether you are on Wi-Fi or mobile data and does not grant network access. Wi-Fi network names and cell identifiers are deliberately not shown, because reading them would require location permission — and a device information app has no business knowing where you are.

There are no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking code of any kind.

WHO IT IS FOR

Anyone checking a phone before or after buying it, diagnosing thermal throttling or battery wear, confirming a chipset is what the listing claimed, or simply curious about the silicon they carry around.
